Weekly Spectrum Transaction Summary - February 1, 2019 April 1, 2019 11:51

With the reopening of the FCC this week, we saw our first transactions since the first week of January.  In this week's transactions Docomo Pacific is acquiring all of the BRS channels (13 channels) in Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands.  I would expect that they would launch a Sprint compatible network, if One Planet has not already launched a Band 41 LTE network.  The next block of new leases relate to the leasing of the Archdiocese of New York's non-video channels by Nextwave Spectrum.  Nextwave continues to hold important spectrum in New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles that Sprint would greatly desire.  Nextwave continues to control this spectrum because most of the EBS spectrum leases include rights of first refusal (ROFR) which allow the current lessee meet the higher offered price and continue to lease the spectrum.  The last transaction is a new lease between Sprint and Tulane University.  This is another recent lease that Sprint is taking over from Spectrum Holdings.
